Shipping Resources
Frozen samples should only be shipped on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday for next-day delivery, unless prior arrangements were made, for delivery Tuesday-Thursday. This allows our team to work with UPS to intervene, in the event of shipment delays, to ensure samples reach BioSEND with less than 48 hours in transit. Ambient samples may be shipped Monday-Thursday for next-day delivery. BioSEND does not accept sample shipments on Saturday, Sunday, or any public holidays.
Inclement weather can cause significant shipping delays. Please remember to check the forecast for significant weather events prior to shipping.

UPS Shipping Resources
BioSEND (and the other repositories based at Indiana University) use a custom interface through the UPS ShipExec™ Thin Client website. Please use the UPS ShipExec™ website to generate air waybills and schedule UPS pickups for shipments to BioSEND. If you are a new site/coordinator, you will need to request a new user account.

Hours of Operation
Indiana University business hours are from 08:00 to 13:00 (8 AM to 5 PM) Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
Although BioSEND staff are available or on-call outside of those times and on holidays, we cannot guarantee a response outside of business hours.
